|Gary's 1970 Plymouth
|I purchased this 1970 Plymouth Cuda new in March of 1970 when I was a mechanic at Roger Otto Motors in
Glenwood IA. I drove it until the mid-1980s and stored it in my dad's barn. No one would give me anything for a
trade in so I kept it. For the first few years after storage I drove it a little every summer and then kids sports
started, etc., and for over 23 years it sat unattended. Finally, somewhere around 2009 Dale Howard and I
pulled it out of the barn and started to just kind of get it running and it turned into a total rotisserie restoration. It
took a long time but it is better than original.
|I wanted it back like I had it personalized in 1971 so the wheels and decals are how I had it then. I still have the
original wheels but they need some TLC.
|The engine is a 340, bored 30, mild Howard roller cam, balanced by Kevin Taylor Enterprises, Edelbrock AVS,
Sure Grip, Vintage Air, AM/FM Factory exact radio, new upholstery, headliner, but all the inside panels are
original except kick pads. BF Goodrich RWL tires. Brake Power Booster was rebuilt by Booster Dewey, and
|That's the bulk of spending my kids’ inheritance. Oh... and then I had to build a garage to put it in.
